I built this website for my professor's foundation, Women In Science for Hope (W.I.S.H.). Founded by Prof. Shirin Haque, the foundation supports children in Trinidad and Tobago through science outreach, mentorship, and practical community care.
Give the foundation's work a home
The site brings WISH's mission, history, community projects, events, and team into one public home. Visitors can learn about its astronomy outreach, see the restoration of a children's play park, and find ways to volunteer, donate supplies, or partner with the foundation.
The opening night sky connects the website to the foundation's science outreach. Visitors can explore the sky and make a wish before moving into the stories of the people and projects behind the organisation.
Make science resources easier to discover
The magazine archive gathers editions of WISH Upon A Star from 2021 through 2026. Readers can browse issues, open featured pages, and read or download the magazines for free.
Events and seasonal activities sit alongside those resources, while the support section gives visitors contact details and a way to get in touch.
Website work for a community organisation
This project sits alongside my software tools as website design and development for an organisation. The focus is on helping people understand the foundation's work, explore its resources, and find a clear next step to get involved.
